Shivangi holds a B.L.S.LL.B. Degree from Government Law College, Mumbai. She is an advocate, specializing in laws related to sexual harassment, gender and child rights with 10 years of experience. She is the Founder of POSH at Work (www.poshatwork.com), which is one of the first organizations to be empanelled by Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India in February, 2017. She is assisting 400+ organizations with compliance of the POSH Law & acting as an External Member of Internal Committee of 30+ well known organizations.

She has co-authored a book titled ‘Handbook on the Law of Sexual Harassment,’ both editions published by Thomson Reuters and written 100+ articles / notes / opinions on the subject some of which have been reported by Business Standard, Huffington Post etc. She has also been quoted by leading newspapers like Economic Times, Livemint and Business Standard.

She has handled 200+ complaints of sexual harassment, conducted 250+ training / awareness sessions involving 1,00,000+ individuals. She has spoken at various events including, Women Economic Forum (Kerala & Bengaluru), CII (IWN) etc. She was also a part of a discussion with United Nations Women and National Commission for Women on Sexual Harassment at Workplace. She is the President of Maharashtra Anti-Sexual Harassment Council, WICCI.

She is also the Co-Founder of Child Safety at Work which assists organizations including Schools in preventing & handling sexual offences against children (in line with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act, 2012). She is very passionate about laws related to LGBTQIA+ community as well. She is an Ally and with a goal to create a more inclusive workspace for the community and to assist organizations with measures against harassment and discrimination of members of the community, she has also co-founded Inclusion at Work.

She is on the Advisory Board of CARPAL which stands for Centre for Research in Policies and Advancement of LGBTQIA+ Community and Rest the Case. Link to some
